Overview

Impending Safety legislations triggered the need for companies to develop non-Luer safety connector systems. Our client needed to test clinical equivalence and assess safety in a controlled environment.

Solution

We recruited 50 clinicians to take part in a controlled simulated evaluation survey. Strict protocols needed to be adhered to and our interviews were observed by a clinical trial assessment team.

Outcome

Our research showed that a non-Luer safety connector system was clinically acceptable and the data was published in the BJA.
